About Amy's Gold Arlington Texas

What we do :

Amy’s is a start-up retail concept store that was launched by Founders and Owners Steve Jenkins and Paul Poyfair in November of 2009. They wanted to create a store or concept that was going to offer four businesses or services to retail customers:

1. A place where people could immediately get Cash For their Gold, Platinum and Silver jewelry or other items that they may have such as silverware, trays, etc. at a guaranteed higher price than they could get from other precious metal buyers.
2. A place where people who are looking to Buy Jewelry, particularly Engagement Rings or Wedding Sets, could buy them at deep discounts below wholesale pricing.
3. Coordinate opportunities for people to Host Gold Parties and receive quick cash based on the amount of gold sold by party attendees to the Representative from Amy’s Gold and Silver Exchange.
4. Offer inexpensive Jewelry Repair to all customers and free sizing for anyone who purchases a ring from the store (Amy’s Gold and Silver Exchange).

Who we are :

There are five people who run and operate Amy’s Gold and Silver Exchange. They are:

Steve Jenkins
Co-Owner and Operations Manager
Steve is 43 years old and comes to Amy’s Gold and Silver exchange with an outstanding entrepreneurial resume. He has been a Texas resident for over 20 years and currently lives with his wife and two children in Mansfield, Texas.
Steve began working in Restaurant Management right out of school, but for the past fifteen plus years, he has been managing and operating his own privately held businesses. Specifically, he has owned and operated his own Restaurant, his own Commercial Cleaning Business and, most recently, his own Residential Construction Company. Over the past five plus years, he has also been integrally involved in the Gold and Silver Exchange Business, personally owning and operating a Gold Buying Business, “Cash for Gold”, located in the Mansfield/Arlington area. In November of 2009 he merged with Amy’s Gold and Silver Exchange and now is responsible for the everyday operation of the business located at 4508 Matlock Road, #120, Arlington, Texas 76018.

Paul Poyfair
Co-Owner and Chief Financial Officer
Paul is 59 years old and semi-retired. He presently manages the Financial Part of the Operation and works part-time. He has been a Texas resident for nearly 20 years and currently lives with his wife in East Texas.
Paul is a 35 plus year Corporate Business man with a BS from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Washington. He has held positions of VP, SVP and EVP with three different Fortune 500 Companies located in three different states. In the year 2000, Paul made the decision to leave “Corporate America” after brokering a deal that sold Comp USA to Carlos “Slim” Hulu from Mexico City, Mexico. Since that time, Paul has been semi-retired and has spent his working time buying, operating, and selling small businesses. He currently owns and coordinates the operation of a small Motor Inn on the coast in Oregon, a large group of buildings for student housing off the campus of Brigham Young University, and a Residential Distressed Home Acquisition business. In November of 2009, he worked with Steve Jenkins to create the Amy’s Gold and Silver Exchange concept and helps to manage the financial aspect of the Business.

Angie Brodie
Arlington Store Director and Company's Jewelry Manager
Angie is 53 years old and is a native Texan, born and raised. She presently manages the daily store operations of Amy’s and handles and/or coordinates all Jewelry repairs.
Angie studied Art and Literature at the University of North Texas. She served an apprenticeship with Master Goldsmith and Craftsmen Robert Gessler and Mark Burkhall, and also attended the Gemological Institute of America. She has owned and/or operated her own Jewelry repair business for nearly 25 years and is a Custom Jewelry Expert. Angie joined Amy’s Gold and Silver Exchange in her current capacity in March of 2010.

Where WE are:

Amy’s Gold and Silver Exchange is located at 4508 Matlock Road, Suite #120 in Arlington, Texas 76018. It is one block south of Interstate 20 on the west side of the road, across from Fry’s Electronics.

The store is open from 10AM to 6PM Monday through Saturday (except for selected Holidays).
